Why Vision Therapy

  • Vision is integral to learning (up to 80% of learning occurs through the eyes). Eye tracking, binocular vision disorders, and problems with visual processing may affect learning, and especially reading. 1 in 10 kids has a vision problem that affects how they learn. Vision therapy can help treat these issues!

  • Traumatic Brain Injuries (a concussion for example), can cause functional vision problems. This can lead to symptoms such as double vision, balance issues, headaches, difficulty tracking when reading, discomfort in a crowded room or when looking at a busy screen, and issues with memory - among many others. Vision Therapy can help resolve these symptoms!

  • Athletes need exceptional visual skills to enhance their competitive edge. Vision therapy targets those skills, and helps both student and professional athletes reach peak athletic performance.

  • With strabismus (“eye turn”), the two eyes have difficulty focusing on one object together. Vision therapy is a non-invasive treatment option that promotes binocular vision.

  • In amblyopia (“lazy eye”), one or both eyes are not able to achieve normal visual acuity (20/20) even with glasses or contact lenses. Vision therapy is an individualized treatment that promotes improved vision and depth perception.

  • Symptoms of neurodevelopmental disorders may often manifest as visual signs in individuals with Autism, ADHD, and those with learning differences (such as dyslexia), as well as sensory processing disorders. Vision therapy has been shown to help visual issues, such as improved eye movements, coordination, and focusing skills, but also systemic goals, such as improved cognitive processing and language development.

Centrally Located

Located just blocks from LA landmarks like LACMA, the Grove and the Academy Museum, Beverly Grove Vision Care is centrally located in Mid City - just minutes from Beverly Hills and West Hollywood.

ALL Natural Treatment

Even if you or your child have 20/20 eyesight, there may still be a vision problem! Visual processing takes place at the level of the brain, so “perfect” visual acuity does not necessarily mean that proper visual and perceptual skills are present which are necessary for learning, work, and sports. Vision Therapy is an all natural, medication free personalized progressive treatment program of doctor guided vision activities, used to correct certain vision problems or improve visual skills.
